PORTUGAL FASHION | Overview

Finally, my blogger let me post!!! This was indeed a hard task!!!

First I present you my favourite collection from the shows I've seen! DIOGO MIRANDA! Despite being quite similar to some other international designers (Proenza Schouler and Ballenciaga) the collection was mesmerizing! The colours, the cuts, the oversized and structured silhouettes, the metallic details...loved it!

Finalmente consegui fazer algo do meu blogger! Aleluia!

Bem, primeiro o meu desfile favorito: DIOGO MIRANDA!

Second collection! FELIPE OLIVEIRA BAPTISTA. Another great collection. I do love this designer...so I was kind of looking forward to this one. It was lovely and with a nice amount of unexpectedness. The surprising mixture of patterns and colours or, on the opposite, total looks with same patterns were the kings /queens of the show.

Segunda colecção! FELIPE OLIVEIRA BAPTISTA.

ELISABETH TEIXEIRA was, undoubtly, a great surprise! I loved almost every single look, specially on what concerns menswear...favorite menswear collection! The sportive looks, the colours, cuts and specially the textures/materials were incredibles! I could wear almost everything there! I have to find my way to grab one of the jumpers! :D

All the collages by STYLETRACES

At last...KATTY XIOMARA! Typically, I do not die for her collections...sometimes I do like, but most of the times it simply crosses by me. This time I have to say that I enjoyed it...It was a very coherent collection, with lots of references to Louis Vuitton SS13 (even the twins look). Still, I have to recognize that the materials chosen here were too rigid for some of the looks...despite that, loved the pleat and fluid dresses, the patterns and the silks!

Finalmente...KATTY XIOMARA!

Love you girls: JOANA LEITE and ISABEL DE CASTRO

It's not everyday that you find such amazing friends...I've always knew that me and Isabel were soul mates, but, this time, I had the opportunity to learn that I can have more then one soul mate! :P Love you girls!!!
It was amazing to have all the fellow bloggers around...we have a lot of fun...and I know that I'm too explosive sometimes, at least I make everyone laugh!
Tomorrow I'll show you more pics about us!

Well, I've been to other shows, but I prefer not to comment this time...the lack of creativeness makes me sick! And I don't want to be rude! XD

XD

See you tomorrow (if the blogger let me to)

LUSA Design...PORTOJÓIA

PORTOJÓIA 23rd International Jewellery Fair
PORTOJÓIA 23ª Feira Internacional de Joalharia.

When Isabel (from BELLISGIRL) came up with the invitation for this event you can't even imagine how happy I was. You may not know about my huge crush on jewellery...even when I was a little boy, I was always very enthusiastic whenever my mother asked my opinion about a piece of glittery metal with some carved stones on it. So, you certainly can understand how excited I was to visit the fair, specially the shows from the designers. PORTOJÓIA is the biggest international jewellery event in Portugal, where the big affairs on the sector are made...I am a lucky man!

Well, let's talk about the shows of LUSA Design creators.
Ora, posto a apresentação do espaço, aqui vão os desfiles dos designers do colectivo LUSA design.

So...About SOFIA GOMES creations; a project around the ideia of mixturing the well known Portuguese Cork with silver. As you see, the cork's versatility allows an huge variety of different and original shapes, making the pieces very unusual and unique. A very resourceful way of building a bridge between the traditional and the unexploited. For me an outstanding work.

As for the second collection I present here: a whole concept inspired by nature and the inner beauty of the plants. All the pieces are remarkable replicas of seeds, flowers and leaves crafted together to form mesmerizing jewels...

Now a different approach, perhaps minimal for most of the eyes. Here SOFIA ROCHA takes the silver and, by simply bending it, creates alluring aesthetics and volumes. Some geometric and leave-like shapes take their places on these pieces to create a simple, yet glamorous line.

JOANA ANDRESEN, with her black silver, made my eyes glow! Simple pieces, yet so genius! I loved the small details of the pearl-like inner stones of the rings...well I loved the rings so much!!! I have to say that theme for the show was dazzling! The umbrellas with the lights inside created a perfect match for the pieces!

MIGUEL SERENO's collection was built through the intersection of different geometric shapes - reminds me of cristal structures - with some details of dark stone and neutral wood. Indeed, the lines of the earrings kept me staring...they were so simply gorgeous!!! :D

On a very futuristic mood, LIA presents the collection with some sort of robotic models. The line was inspired by the planets and the shapes of the solar systems. Therefore, the sharp aesthetic and the planetary round shapes were the leaders of the collection. Very beautiful pieces, no doubt.

There are still missing some of the designers...unfortunately, taking pictures of jewellery runways is a hard task! I have to say...most of the pictures were not good enough to share! I'll see what I can do with the missing designers! :D

Hope you guys liked it!

SS 2013 Menswear...so far

Givenchy and Salvatore Ferragamo

Marc Jacobs and Jonathan Saunders

Z Zegna and Jil Sander

Prada and Burberry Prorsum

Gucci and Raf Simons

Well...so far, these are my favourites...I'm still trying to pick the beauty in some aspects around a bunch of collections, like Prada's sandals, or the sneakers stubbornness everywhere, even the metallic looks (that I do like)...What I couldn't love more is Givenchy's collection!!! How I would love to have most of the pieces! Pure magic!

What about the rest? The colours and the prints were already expected, right? To be honest, none of the catwalk trends have blown me away, in fact, they were obvious for me! That's what I lack more these times...effortless fashion art, you know! At least Ricardo Tisci satisfied my lust! :D

Bendito deja!

Interview with Sarah Burton here

It's time to let the wind blow again, time to let things go as the leaves find suitable through the whispers of the blowing muses; I don't use to believe in self made rationality, as I'm always disrupting logic notions with my emotions; in a life of true sharing one can only aim what the other commands through fortune willing rightness! Feel it? I could go by your hand with my eyes wide shut, with my mouth closed for the eternity; I could starve without dying, only with the nutritional side of your love; I could open my arms through the tides, following them as leaders, taking me underneath...listening the silence, always the silence; from the hours pushing me back, from underneath I would see the moon light cracking no more; the water has always cared about me. I would keep falling, underneath, to the sea bed, I would only need the certainty of your presence down there. If I manage to let the blow speak my heart, I hope somehow you'll get the answer. Perhaps my task came through the waves of a delusional bow...from a head that manage to disguise the magnitude of the movement, from the origin to the floor! I'll follow you forever...do you see me there?

Not calm words...

Hello guys...today is an outstanding day for those who simply dislike when I start writing about silly things in a very unsure and non clarifying way...today I've decided to be more precise... In fact, I've started to wonder how many of you, who delightfully or not come across my blog, actually end up readying what I write? I don't know the answer, and despite the fact of most of my words being rather fair to my utmost defining personal edges, I believe that sometimes it's better to keep it simple.
Today I've figured out that I don't have quite a picture about how I seem to be for you as a blogger or a free writer, nor even as a person (personality I mean)...as usual I'm always doubting about myself, and since this blog has been here for one year by now, I wonder if I have done something right or willing to be followed. As a matter of fact, I really don't know. Since I actually do this kind of self-worshipping not really for those who come across this home-made stuff but for me as a way to indulge my creative and artistic needs, I do it in a very particular way that I don't really get if it fits. Let me tell you what keeps me going as a blogger: 1. I like the way fashion binds people freely, just like any other artistic expression; 2. I like to learn from people who knows more than me; 3. I like to write, even if it is just to remain closed inside an online box; 4. I believe that, somehow, someone will be inspired as I was and still am by some of you guys (tho I always end up concluding that I'm not that good as an inspiration...only if what matters is to wear what to find great for yourself); 5. I like perspectives, more or less extreme then mine, specially when they help me to improve my own opinions...and that, of course, requires an huge amount of honesty...And there's the most dark side of online fashion world: How can you tell when people are being honest with you??? Honestly guys, haven't you got that feeling yet, while readying some comments here and there, of being unable to understand a bunch of positive words about something completely wrong? Well I certainly have that quite often...and perhaps it's because of my rule to not fake an opinion that I don't end up having an HUGE number of comments or a big BOOM on my followers...or I'm just too moron to not understand some tides! You see, I have a quite sharp self-criticism sense (if this is the way you say this); I do know that my blog remains a prototype, a Beta-testing thing for many and for me as well...The thing is, I do not work for kind words or well disguised bitter comments...I believe in one thing: those who come to my blog and leave some words are not seeking for some improvement on the number of views or anything like that...That's why I like it my way!
And you guys?

Sorry for the biggggggg "not calm" realization...but I couldn't help it...XD

Can you believe This???

I know this guy is a piece of marvellous everything...and yeah, who cares if he is a guy or a girl...he does both roles perfectly...and for me that is an outstanding gift! XD

Well, what was my surprise when this guy was elected not just by FHM, but BY THE MAGAZINE MALE READERS, the 98th most sexy GIRL in the WORLD!!!

WHAT???

The thing is, the guy who wrote the article on the magazine went even further, saying that HE, and I repeat, HE is hiding HIS true gender!

CAN I LAUGH???

OK...one guy from the mag came now apologizing for the misunderstood, and for the prejudice of the article writer! In fact, the guy even got through the geniality of a thing like this: "The designers are trying to make this guy a Victoria's Secret Model!"

For you guys, if you can read Portuguese go to this link for more info.

I will be back with more photos from Poland very soon..."Is that good or bad?" - you're thinking. XD

Porcelain Boy!...Cooper Thompson

This time I bring you this stunning piece of art! A newcomer...a breathtaking one, I say! His bone structure, his eyes and hair...specially the androgynous beauty makes this boy a really remarkable cradle of great works! At least I'm excited to see more!
